The Challenge

  • The client needed to increase the proficiency level of dealer technicians
  • Instructor-led training was not getting all dealership technicians trained - needed to find a more convenient, cost-effective way for technicians to train
  • Client wanted to eliminate technician travel and away-from-the-shop time created by instructor-led training

Our Role

  • Guided the project team through the process and customized our off-the-shelf LMS to fit in the situation
  • Created dynamic landing pages to fit the different job categories
  • Configured the course catalog to handle existing and new courses from multiple vendors
  • Designed a standard course template to be used across the entire organization
  • Integrated existing training videos and created associated testing that could be delivered through the LMS

The Results

  • Solution rolled out to over 2,500 technicians at more than 1,000 dealers
  • Successful delivery on time and within budget
  • One-stop shopping for all technician training needs
  • Dynamic elements on landing pages kept content fresh and kept technicians coming back
  • Worked well with e-learning vendors to incorporate existing and new training modules
