The Challenge
- Existing off-the-shelf LMS had little flexibility, poor user interface, and did not meet the reporting needs
- The company faced costly upgrades for the existing system and looked for ways to reduce the expenses around printing of product guides for dealerships
- This meant the client needed a new infrastructure to effectively deliver and track online training as well as deliver information to dealership sales consultants in new ways.
Our Role
- Worked as a technology partner and in collaboration with the training operations group to develop the new LMS and Virtual Academy solutions
- Developed a new customized LMS to provide a stable and flexible training delivery platform
- Developed the Virtual Academy as an information portal on top of the LMS to provide company and product information
The Results
- Millions of dollars of savings with elimination of print, instead distributing dealer information and product guides online through Virtual Academy
- Innovative state-of-the-art technology platform that continues to provide client an industry-leading solution
- Cost-effective solution that exceeded expectations – was a learning lesson for the client ("do it right, built it yourself") using a long-term, proven technology partner
