- Produced Technical e-Learning Courses for Dealership Technicians
(Automotive Industry)
The Challenge
- Client needed to reach a greater audience of dealership technicians with technical training, specifically with information on manual transmission and engine mechanical operation
- Client had to create a pre-requisite for instructor-led training, so dealership technicians would have the basic skills required for diagnosing and repairing vehicles
- We needed to develop engaging e-learning that would capture the interest and attention of technicians
Our Role
- Engaged to produce two e-learning courses, each with seven to eight modules, approximately twenty minutes each
- Performed research, created storyboard, and wrote script based on course objectives and outline
- Developed and programmed the graphics and animation for the courses, including the details of engine operation (intake, compression, firing, exhaustion)
- Reviewed progress and received feedback on regular basis
The Results
- On-time delivery of courses
- Testing included in each module ensured that dealership technicians would have a baseline level of knowledge, resulting in fewer incorrectly diagnosed vehicles
- Courses were well accepted by technicians, who appreciated the ability to go back and review information whenever needed
